The Triad of Health

The Triangle, or Triad of Health, is a representation of the concept that in order for an individual to acquire an overall healthful lifestyle, they must have an interactive foundational balance between these three areas; Physical Health, Nutritional Health, and Emotional Health. This concept was initially conceived by D.D. Palmer, the “Father of Chiropractic” and the discoverer of the chiropractic adjustment.

Physical/Structural

Physical stress can be caused by a variety of reasons. From injury to everyday stress that we put on our bodies, such as bad posture or sitting too long, physical issues arise within our body. This physical stress can result in an imbalance in the spine. The spine houses the nervous system which controls every organ, system and function of our body. We use Chiropractic Adjustments, Soft Tissue work, and Massage to bring balance back into the body and relieve the stress on the nervous system.

Mental/Emotional Health

Emotional Stress is easy for all of us to relate to. Life stressors often come from dealing with work, finances, kids, relationships, and your health. Thoughts and feelings associated with these factors can cause a great deal of stress on the mind and body. Emotional heath is directly tied to physical health and can cause your muscles to become tighter, result in elevated blood pressure and create misalignments in the spine effecting the nervous system. We use a number of techniques to help with emotional stress including the Chiropractic Adjustment, Massage, Acupuncture, and BrainTap Meditations to help re-wire the thought patterns.

Chemical/Nutritional Health

Toxin are all around us; from the food we eat, water we drink, to the air we breath. Additionally Americans today are growing up overfed and undernourished as the food industry mass produces nutrient deficient processed food. Proper nutrition is the building block for optimal health. We offer nutrition consults, nutrition/herbal supplementation, detoxification/weight loss programs, food plans, and food sensitivity testing.
